John Williams is an associate in Venable's Commercial Litigation group. He focuses his practice on complex civil litigation matters.
Mr. Williams has significant experience with matters involving contract disputes, online marketing, securities class-action litigation, and government antitrust investigations. His recent matters involve investigations by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Federal Reserve Bank, as well as complex commercial disputes between businesses.
Mr. Williams has been involved in all stages of federal and state litigation on behalf of clients in the banking, marketing, and risk management industries. He is skilled in matters involving complex electronic discovery.
As a pro bono attorney, Mr. Williams has successfully represented clients in Social Security appeals and landlord-tenant matters. He was also part of a team that successfully represented a wrongfully-convicted individual in the District of Columbia.
Prior to joining Venable, Mr. Williams served as a legal intern at the Montgomery County, Maryland Office of the Public Defender and served as a student attorney in the Washington College of Law Civil Practice Clinic.
