John Geis is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP and a member of the Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies Practice.
Before beginning his legal career, Mr. Geis was a product development engineer with Ford Motor Company. As an engineer, he concentrated on diesel engine and aftertreatment development and calibration. During law school, he was a summer associate with Foley as well as with Brooks Kushman P.C.
Mr. Geis earned his law degree from the University of Michigan (J.D., cum laude, 2009) where he was associate editor of the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review. He also earned both a master's degree (M.S.E., 1999) and a bachelor's degree (B.S.E., summa cum laude, 1998) from the University of Michigan.
Mr. Geis is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
