John Cummings received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988 and his Juris Doctorate degree from Capital University in 1991.
Prior to starting Thompson & Cummings, P.A. with Brian Thompson in April 2006, Mr. Cummings had been with Wilkes & McHugh, P.A. since 1999. Before that he was a Prosecutor with the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office for five years and then went on to practice criminal defense and family law with Knox & Givens, P.A.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Cummings has practiced criminal prosecution and defense in more than 30 felony jury trials, as well as civil litigation pertaining to medical malpractice, automotive negligence, and nursing home abuse and neglect.
Mr. Cummings is licensed to practice law in Florida, and Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Florida Bar.
