John Jablonski is a partner of the firm and a recognized authority in the highly specialized field of railroad law. John is the former Northeast Region Vice President of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel (NARTC), a member of its Environmental Law Committee, and Chairman of the NARTC's National E-Discovery Committee. In addition to his railroad and transportation litigation experience, his practice includes environmental, commercial and business litigation, construction litigation, and product liability litigation. He has extensive experience defending large companies in toxic exposure and traumatic injuries. He has 17 years of litigation experience and has tried numerous cases to verdict in State and Federal Courts. He has successfully briefed and argued appeals to the Appellate Division, Fourth Department.
John consults with clients and attorneys within the firm on electronic discovery issues and legal holds. He is currently the Chairman of USLAW Network's Electronic Discovery Practice Group. USLAW Network is a national organization composed of over 100 independent member firms in 48 states with over 6,000 attorneys. The Network is comprised of AV-rated law firms throughout the United States which become part of the Network by invitation only. John is also the Chairman of the NARTC's National E-Discovery Committee. He is a frequent presenter and author on electronic discovery, electronic evidence investigation and preservation, best practices for corporate legal hold guidelines, and implementation of legal holds.
John graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School and is admitted to the New York State Bar. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Northern, and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York. He is an active member of the New York State Bar Association's Civil Practice Law and Rules Committee, and is a member of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel (NARTC), Defense Research Institute (DRI), and the American, New York State, and Erie County Bar Associations. John has presented to DRI, the NARTC, the Association of American Railroads and other national audiences. He is the author of various presentation materials on civil litigation.
