John K. Bennett is a Shareholder in the Morristown, New Jersey office of Jackson Lewis P.C.
Mr. Bennett's entire practice is devoted to representing employers in all areas of labor and employment-related matters. He regularly handles employment-related litigation in federal and state courts and administrative agencies, including substantial experience in jury trials. Mr. Bennett also handles negotiating and enforcing employment agreements and restrictive covenants, traditional labor matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and arbitrations under collective bargaining agreements, labor-injunction matters in federal and state courts, and many other aspects of labor relations and employment law for employers.
Mr. Bennett has been ranked by Chambers USA from 2009 -2015 as a leader in the Labor and Employment Law practice area. Chambers USA 2015 recognizes that sources say Mr. Bennett is “an outstanding attorney.” Mr. Bennett “advises clients on various employment-related matters and disputes and is highly accomplished when it comes to taking matters to trial.” One impressed source describes his as “the most effective lawyers on his feet I have ever seen.” Mr. Bennett also has been recognized for managing nationwide employment and labor counsel relationships with certain clients. Mr. Bennett was Articles Editor for the Seton Hall Law Review. When he received a Master of Law (LL.M. in Labor Law) degree, summa cum laude, from New York University School of Law, he was recognized for achieving the highest grade point average in the school's Labor Law Program. From 1980-1981, he was law clerk to the late Hon. Robert L. Clifford, Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court. Mr. Bennett and his wife Faith reside in Westfield, New Jersey, and have three adult daughters, Ali, Julie and Claire.
