John practices primarily in commercial finance and antitrust law. He has worked with clients in manufacturing, healthcare, public utility, banking and retail on a variety of financial transactions, including acquisition financings, bank credit facilities, sale leasebacks, asset securitizations and leveraged leases.
A significant part of his practice includes advising issuers and customers in the area of financial derivatives and hedging programs. John represented a major derivative dealer in connection with new product development and joint ventures.

· Represented the joint venture/borrower in connection with a $270 million project financing for a peaking unit facility, together with tax abatement revenue bonds in the amount of $250 million
· Represented the lessee in conjunction with $250 million synthetic lease acquisition financing of generation turbines
· Represented the users in connection with more than $700 million in taxable revenue bond financings
· Representation of issuers and users on over $1 billion in tax exempt bond financings
· Representation of borrowers (both utility and nonutility) in secured and unsecured financing transactions in the last two years exceeding $3 billion
