| Biography | John Overdorff's experience includes work on a wide variety of municipal financings, including general obligation, special districts, certificates of participation, revenue, industrial development, charter schools, housing, correctional facilities and pollution control financings, both as bond counsel and counsel to underwriters. John has practiced in public finance since 1980 and in Arizona since 1987. John was a co-chairman of the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) special committee that drafted the NABL comment letter on the Securities and Exchange Commission municipal disclosure releases Rule 15c2-12, and was named chairman of NABL's committee on securities law and disclosure in 1995 and 1996. John coordinated two letter requests for SEC guidance on Rule 15c2-12 (on behalf of NABL). He has spoken at a number of industry seminars on municipal disclosure matters. He is serving on the Governmental Accounting Standards Advisory Council as the NABL Representative and as a member of the Board of Directors of NABL.
