The firm of McDermott & O'Hanlon P.C. resulted from the merger of the practices of Cyril T. McDermott, former town Justice of the Town of Cortlandt, and Counsel to the Peekskill Savings Bank, who had maintained his office for many years in the City of Peekskill with that of John P. O'Hanlon, who had practiced from his office in Putnam Valley since 1972.
The two practices consolidated to the Putnam Valley office and Mr. McDermott retired from the firm and passed away in 2003 at the age of 96.
The firm represents individuals, families and small businesses in the purchase and sale of real estate, in the preparation of wills, in estate planning and in estate settlement. The firm also represents executors, trustees and estate beneficiaries in contested matters. Mr. O'Hanlon provides all legal services personally, applying over 40 years of legal knowledge and experience to the needs of every client.
