John is an associate in the Corporate & Securities Section where his practice focuses on securities, venture capital and debt financing transactions and general corporate law. He represents companies in a range of industries, including life sciences, medical devices, clean technology and health care.
John's transactional experience includes representing companies in public offerings of equity and convertible debt, venture capital financings, debt transactions, mergers and acquisitions and asset purchase transactions. John also assists companies in securities law compliance matters.
A portion of John's practice has also involved providing representation to non-profit organizations in formation, transactional and corporate governance matters.
Prior to becoming an attorney, John worked as a legal assistant in the Securities Litigation practice at Mintz Levin. He has also served as an intern at the Boston College Legal Assistance Bureau, the Massachusetts Clients' Security Board of the Supreme Judicial Court, the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office and the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary. John currently serves as chairperson of the governing council of the Sudbury United Methodist Church.
John earned his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School (2008) and his B.A., cum laude, from Middlebury College (2003). John also attended the Tuck School of Business Bridge Program at Dartmouth College (2002).
