John has extensive experience in the areas of admiralty and maritime law, products liability, and insurance bad faith and coverage litigation. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, in the field of admiralty and maritime law and serves as the co-chair of the firm's Transportation & Maritime Litigation section. In addition, John was recognized in 2011 and 2012 in Alabama Super Lawyers and was named a "Leader in their Field" in 2012 in Transportation Litigation by the highly regarded Chambers USA, a legal directory featuring client-led intelligence on America's leading lawyers.
Born and raised on the nearby Mississippi Gulf Coast, John has practiced in Mobile since 1993. After graduating from the University of South Alabama (B.A., summa cum laude), John attended Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, serving as a Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review and graduating with a J.D. degree, magna cum laude, in 1992. Following law school, John served as a law clerk to the Hon. John M. Duhe', Jr., United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
A member of both the Alabama and Mississippi state bars, John is licensed to practice before all federal and state courts in both states.
