John S. Cha, Director, handles all aspects of business litigation and transactional matters. Since his admission to the California Bar in June 1987, Mr. Cha's practice has involved a broad range of matters for various business entities and their owners, which include litigation and transactional matters in real estate, labor and employment, commercial disputes, commercial transactions, trade secrets and covenants not to compete, unfair competition, and insurance law. Mr. Cha also provides employment counseling for his clients' Human Resource managers. Mr. Cha has extensive jury and bench trial experience, as well as all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution. He provides clients with hands-on services in an efficient and responsible manner.
Mr. Cha has been recognized as a "Southern California Super Lawyer" by his peers in Los Angeles Magazine, Law & Politics Media, Inc., and Super Lawyer publications each year since 2005.
Mr. Cha represents clients in state and federal courts and at the appellate court level. As a part of his representation of corporate clients, he evaluates internal management systems, including risk management and human resources, and advises clients on how to prevent potential legal problems.
Another part of Mr. Cha's practice involves defending professionals for errors and omissions. He represents such professionals as insurance brokers and agents, Certified Public Accountants, engineers, attorneys, and architects.
In addition to his practice areas, Mr. Cha also provides Alternative Dispute Resolution services to the Korean legal community as a mediator or arbitrator. His focus is on resolving disputes between and among Korean litigants who are caught-up in the legal process that is wholly unfamiliar to them. With his Korean-language skills, Mr. Cha is able to effectively resolve "Korean vs. Korean" disputes in an efficient and effective manner.
