John is considered one of the premier commercial real estate attorneys in Omaha. He represented the developers of significant downtown Omaha redevelopment projects involving Tax Increment Financing and redevelopment agreements with the City of Omaha. These include the ConAgra campus, 1200 Landmark Center, the First National Bank Office Tower and Technology Center, the World Herald's Freedom Center project, Gallup University Riverfront Campus, Aksarben Village and the Midtown Crossing at Turner Park projects.
John's varied experience includes representing institutional lenders in connection with numerous mortgage loan transactions, drafting architectural and construction contracts for numerous projects and representing clients in connection with zoning and subdivision matters. He also represented office building and shopping center developers and owners in entity formation, land acquisition, zoning, subdivision construction, financing, leasing, purchases and sales and represented clients in joint ventures with major national real estate developers and investors.
His work for corporate clients includes mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, commercial transactions and business contracts. Additionally, he represented No Frills Supermarkets in the acquisition of grocery stores from Albertsons and Kroger/Dillon.
