John T. "Jerry" Mulvihill now serves of counsel (retired) in the South Bend, Indiana office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP. His professional efforts are focused on litigation as a primary practice area, including accounting malpractice, product liability, breaches of contract, and motor vehicle negligence cases. Mr. Mulvihill's representation is on behalf of plaintiffs as well as defendants.
Mr. Mulvihill is a past president of the St. Joseph County Bar Association and a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan. He also serves at the behest of the Indiana Supreme Court on its Character and Fitness Review Committee.
Mr. Mulvihill graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 1953. Thereafter, he served in the United States Army in the Far East. Upon discharge, he assisted in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, operation of a family automobile dealership. In 1965 he graduated from Notre Dame Law School where he served on the Notre Dame Law Review. In 1966 he joined the law firm which later merged to become Barnes & Thornburg and was elevated to partnership in 1971.
