John has broad civil litigation experience in federal and state courts throughout the country. The primary focus of his practice is insurance coverage litigation and insurance coverage counseling. He also has handled a variety of civil rights matters, securities fraud lawsuits, personal injury cases, accounting and legal malpractice litigation and commercial disputes.
In recent years, John has been particularly involved in representing directors and officers liability carriers in prosecuting rescission litigation arising out of many of the nation's most highly publicized accounting scandals. He has developed a broad-based expertise in evaluating the cutting-edge rescission and coverage issues that such matters entail. In Chambers USA 2007 one client praised John saying, "There seems to be no case that is too complex that he cannot analyze and simplify, leading to favorable resolution."
