The legal firm of JOHN WILSON PARTNERS was founded in 1920 by the late Senator John Wilson. The firm is an established legal practice in Sri Lanka providing services in the areas of civil litigation, commercial law, including banking and company law, notarial practice, intellectual property matters and joint ventures to individuals, corporations and financial institutions both in Sri Lanka, the USA, Canada, Europe, Asia and Africa.

2005 - contributed the Sri Lanka Chapter in the book "Manual - Industrial Property, Manual for the Handling of Applications for Patents, Trademarks and Designs" published by Kluwer law International B.V.
2005 - contributed the Sri Lanka section of the IPInstaLaw database published by LexisNexis.
2006 - contributed the Sri Lanka section for the Sweet and Maxwell Publication on "Trademarks: International Law & Practice".
2007 - contributed the Sri Lankan section for the International Bar Association's Guide on Takeovers and Mergers.
2007 - contributed the Sri Lankan section to Thompson's "Patents Throughout the World and Design and Utility Models throughout the World."
