Jonathan spends most days representing creditors in state, federal or bankruptcy court litigation (including hearings, trials and appeals) relating to debt collection, real estate, nondischargeability, exemptions, entity structure/corporate, and related matters. Jonathan has given presentations for local and national audiences on issues relating to collecting judgments, obtaining judgments, debt collection practices and making good financial decisions in the judgment collection process. Jonathan has written draft policies to assist medical services providers and non-profit companies maximize their compliance with debt collection laws. Jonathan has represented clients in multi-million dollar, multi-state, post-judgment collection efforts. Jonathan has represented creditors collecting against a wide variety of asset classes including titled vehicles, real estate, limited liability company interests, corporate stock, life insurance policies, real estate, contract rights, farm products, rolling stock, construction equipment, and proceeds from collateral.
