Jonathan Witt is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP and a member of the firm's Transactional & Securities Practice. Mr. Witt's practice covers a broad range of business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, investment company and investment adviser representation and general corporate business law. He represents buyers and sellers in public and private mergers, acquisitions and other strategic alliances. Mr. Witt represents issuers in public and private equity and debt securities offerings and also provides continuing advice to public companies, including registered investment companies, regarding their federal securities law compliance, disclosure and reporting obligations, and has assisted registered investment companies in drafting no-action letter requests and exemptive applications.
Mr. Witt previously served as a summer associate in Foley's Milwaukee office.
Mr. Witt received his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 2009), where he earned a certificate in refugee and humanitarian emergencies as well as an academic achievement award in advanced human rights. He received his bachelor's degree from Marquette University (B.A., cum laude, 2006) and was selected as a member of Alpha Sigma Nu (one of the highest honors awarded by Jesuit universities).
