Jordan's practice focuses on insurance coverage counseling, claims handling and litigation on behalf of insurance company clients relating to directors' and officers' liability and other professional liability claims. He has represented insurers in complex coverage litigation across the country, in both federal and state courts.
Representative Experience
Serving as claims counsel for a risk retention group, regularly negotiate settlements of claims ranging from de minimus amounts to six-figures.
Represented an excess insurance carrier, successfully argued motion to dismiss on grounds that the insured failed to exhaust all underlying limits of coverage.
Represented insurance company against fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud charges.
Obtained summary judgment in a coverage case in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, involving the application of a policy's "related claim" provisions.
