Joe Quinn is a shareholder in our Litigation Department. Joe practices primarily in the areas of workers' compensation and trial practice. Joe's workers' compensation practice is primarily representing employers and insurance carriers. He not only defends litigated workers' compensation claims, but advises employers and insurance carriers regarding the handling of claims, both before and during litigation. Joe regularly appears before the Iowa Workers' Compensation Commissioner's office, the Iowa District Court, the Iowa Court of Appeals, and the Iowa Supreme Court.
In addition to his workers' compensation and trial practice, Joe also heads up the Iowa Newspaper Association's Legal Hotline. Through this service, he fields questions and provides advice to newspapers across Iowa on a wide range of issues with which newspapers are confronted on a daily basis, including employment matters, advertising, public notice, public records, open meetings, and libel concerns.
