Joe has been involved in tax and estate practice for more than 20 years. He provides counsel to clients in the areas of estate and tax planning, probate, trust, tax preparation and representation before the Internal Revenue Service on matters of audits, appeals, and Tax Court petitions and collections issues. He also advises in the area of elder law.
Joe regularly assists clients in preparing estate planning documents and offers advice on estate planning. He has extensive knowledge of the unique planning requirements of husbands and wives with children from prior marriages. Joe also has expertise in the areas of probate and estate administration and is familiar with the distinctive challenges of settling final affairs.
In the area of taxation, Joe has extensive experience ranging from assisting clients with unfiled income tax returns, to representation relating to outstanding tax liabilities, Trust Fund Recovery Penalty Assessment, IRS audit appeals and Tax Court representation. Of note is Joe's past engagement with bank trust departments where he advised on issues unique to this area of taxation.
