Joseph Conneely is a partner in our Intellectual Property Group in Toronto. Mr. Conneely has a general Intellectual Property practice with a focus on patent and industrial design prosecution. As a professional engineer for many years in Ontario's electrical industry, he gained experience in the following technical areas: software, graphical user interfaces, communications systems, control systems, power systems and energy management. Mr. Conneely is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Professional Engineers Ontario, the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He received his B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering in 1985 from McMaster University, his MBA in 1992 from the University of Toronto and his LLB in 1993, also from the University of Toronto. Mr. Conneely was called to the Ontario bar in 2001 and is a registered patent agent in both Canada and the United States.
