Joseph "Joey" H. LeBeau is of counsel in the firm's Monroe office. He is a native of Lake Providence, Louisiana. Joey is a longtime resident of Northeast Louisiana and has extensive ties to its agricultural and business community including landowners, agricultural producers, banks and lenders, developers and similar commercial clients.
Litigation
Joey has practiced in the bankruptcy courts in Louisiana for many years. He regularly represents creditors of all classifications before the bankruptcy courts in Chapter 7, 11 and 13. He also has a significant collection practice including collateral enforcement and repossession. In addition, Joey is often involved in various litigation arising out of business disputes, including landlord/tenant; lien priority; and similar litigation in state and federal court.
Business
Joey regularly represents farmers and business owners in estate and asset planning matters; handles real estate transactions covering acquisition, financing, leasing and development; structures ownership vehicles to achieve desired asset protection, tax benefit maximization and USDA Farm program participation. He advises clients on estate and succession matters and regularly handles probate proceedings.
