Joseph Lucia is an Associate in the firm's Litigation Department. His practice focuses on a broad range of issues, including product liability and complex tort matters and international litigation. He also has an active pro bono practice, representing tenants in eviction proceedings and victims of domestic violence in abuse-prevention hearings.
Before joining Foley Hoag, Joe served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ariane D. Vuono of the Massachusetts Appeals Court and then clerked for the Honorable Margaret R. Hinkle of the Massachusetts Superior Court's Business Litigation Session. While at Boston College Law School, Joe served as a Note Editor of the Boston College Law Review, interned at the Legal Assistance Bureau and participated in the pilot program of the Law School's first transactional legal clinic, the Community Enterprise Clinic, where he helped form an arts-based nonprofit organization and counseled a separate nonprofit Board of Directors on its fiduciary duties and the tax implications of its planned lobbying activities. Prior to law school, Joe worked as a paralegal in the Tax Department of another Boston law firm.
