Mr. Scholz specializes in the litigation of complex financial disputes in various venues, including trials, appeals, arbitrations and mediations. He has successfully represented corporations and individuals from a wide variety of industries, including major financial institutions.
Mr. Scholz has enjoyed great success at both the trial and appellate levels. He has successfully tried a number of cases in federal and state courts, and has won significant appellate victories for clients in the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the New York Court of Appeals.
Mr. Scholz has represented financial institutions and brokers for nearly twenty years in many types of matters including customer disputes, securities litigation, employment litigation, contract negotiations, and fraud litigation. Among other things, Mr. Scholz has specialized in representing financial services companies and their brokers in litigations concerning the hiring and firing of brokers, the enforceability of restrictive covenants, and so-called raiding cases. Mr. Scholz has handled all aspects of those litigations, including claims for injunctive relief, from start to finish.
