Biography

Joshua E. Abraham is Of Counsel at Butzel Long's New York office. He concentrates his practice on litigation and corporate advisory work.

Mr. Abraham has represented businesses and individuals prosecuting and defending actions in breach of contract, defamation, fraud, product liability, and construction claims. Throughout his career, he has represented asset managers and financial institutions in disputes regarding commodities and currency swaps, owners and contractors in lien foreclosure actions, and drug manufacturers in products liability actions. Most recently, Mr. Abraham has represented accountants in fraud and breach of fiduciary duty actions, and real estate developers in disputes with general contractors.

Mr. Abraham also has experience in corporate matters. He has worked with hedge funds with formation and investment offerings, and he has also assisted nonprofit organizations with corporate formation and corporate governance.

Prior to joining Butzel Long, Mr. Abraham worked at various law firms as a litigation associate. He was a legal intern for the Hon. Herman Cahn of the New York Supreme Court, and before attending law school, he was an Equities Trader.

Mr. Abraham is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law (J.D., 2004), and of Yeshiva University (B.A., summa cum laude, 1999).
