Josh Kaplowitz is an associate in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, where he specializes in Torts, as well as Environmental and Toxic Tort Litigation.
Josh's practice includes all aspects of complex tort litigation. He has represented clients in a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, pesticides, paper products, maritime and solid waste disposal. Josh's prior experience includes civil and criminal environmental litigation and regulatory compliance under multiple environmental statutes (including CERCLA, RCRA, FIFRA, the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act). He has also represented clients in a variety of general commercial litigation and land use matters. Josh is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED-AP) certified through the United States Green Building Council.
Josh earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A. in political science from Yale University. He is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey (inactive).
