Josh Fuchs has substantial jury trial, arbitration, and hearing experience including being a core member of jury trial teams in both federal and state courts. In addition, he has substantial experience responding to governmental investigations brought by agencies such as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Department of Justice. Josh also has a broad base of practical experience in the oil and gas industry with the majority of his matters being within that area.
Josh's cases have spanned the legal gamut including complex breach of contract, intellectual property, toxic tort, product liability, fraud, antitrust, the False Claims Act, market manipulation, and purchase price disputes. He has worked with clients such as Atlas Energy, Access Midstream, BP, Chevron, Eni, Experian, International Paper, KFC, Research In Motion, SAP, Sherwin-Williams, Stone Energy, and Textron.
Josh has taken lead briefing roles in successful appeals and motions, first chaired trials, and participated in multiple successful class action, injunction, and discovery hearings. In addition, he has taken and defended nearly 100 depositions and has worked with a wide array of experts preparing cases for trial including forensic accountants, economists, software engineers, metallurgists, epidemiologists, and land appraisers. Josh also has had substantial success helping clients reduce e-discovery costs by presenting burden arguments to courts and opponents.
He is also extremely involved in pro bono activities, has chaired the office's United Way campaigns, and is heavily involved in training programs for law firm associates.
