Joshua P. Hollingsworth is a partner in the Corporate Department in the firm's Indianapolis, Indiana office. He concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate and venture finance.
Mr. Hollingsworth represents clients in a wide range of industries and size: from start-ups to public companies. His practice focuses on counseling business owners, outside investors and senior management in connection with sales and acquisitions of businesses, senior and mezzanine debt finance, equity capital raises, business spinoffs and separations, joint ventures, strategic and succession planning and commercial contracts. He serves as outside "general counsel" for a number of his clients.
Josh is a member of the Board of Directors and Fundraising Chair for the Indiana Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, and is the past president of the Young Professionals of Central Indiana. He serves as outside counsel for the world-renown Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction. He is also a legal advisor and sub-committee chair for the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee.
He is a frequent lecturer on business matters and has delivered seminars on topics such as Counseling the Small Business Client, the Ins and Outs of Limited Liability Companies, and Business Succession Planning.
Mr. Hollingsworth has been recognized as a Super Lawyers' Indiana Rising Star from 2009-2012. He was also recognized in the Indianapolis Business Journal's "Top Forty Under 40" listing for 2012.
Mr. Hollingsworth is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations and a member of the LLCs, Partnerships and Unincorporated Business Organizations Committee of the American Bar Association's Business Law Section. He serves on the LLC and LP Act Study Committee of the Indiana Business Law Survey Commission. He is a member of the Lawyer's Club of Indianapolis.
Mr. Hollingsworth is a committed member of his community, particularly in the area of pro bono legal services. He serves on the board of directors (and as fundraising chair) of the Community Development Law Center, a nonprofit organization coordinating and providing legal services to other non-profits in his community and Happy Hollow Children's Camp, a summer camp for under privileged and disabled youth.
He is admitted to practice in Indiana, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and the Central District of Illinois, and the U.S. Tax Court.
Mr. Hollingsworth received his B.A. with honors from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He received his J.D. summa cum laude from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he served as Executive Articles Editor of the Indiana Law Review.
