Joy practices in the areas of health care and real estate law. In her health care practice, she represents health systems, physician groups and health plans in a variety of regulatory, real estate and corporate matters. Joy has particular experience with privacy issues and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. In her real estate practice, Joy has been involved in a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales and leasing. She advises clients on various real property matters, including zoning, title and access issues. Joy also works with charitable institutions to assist them in obtaining and maintaining their real property tax exempt status.
Professional & Civic Activities
· Joy is a Trustee for the Open M Foundation and is a member of the Bath Township Zoning Commission. She is a member of the Akron and Ohio State Bar Associations as well as the American Health Lawyers Association and Society of Ohio Healthcare Attorneys.
