A native to Franklin, Tennessee, Julia received a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Middle Tennessee State University. While working for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in the Crime Laboratory, she attended the Nashville School of Law. Julia graduated in June of 1986 and began practicing law in her hometown, Franklin, Tennessee, in 1987. She is a Rule 31 Listed Family Mediator.

Julia has extensive trial experience in the General Sessions, Circuit, and Chancery courts of Williamson County and the surrounding Middle Tennessee counties. She is also licensed to practice in the Federal Courts of Middle Tennessee. Julia is a member of the Williamson County Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. Areas of practice include Family Law (including Divorce, Child Support, and Child Custody), Adoption, Criminal Law, Juvenile Law, Personal Injury, Automobile Accidents, Wrongful Death, Worker's Compensation, and General Civil Litigation.

Julia practices in Williamson County, Maury County, Rutherford County, Davidson County, Dickson County, Marshall County, Giles County, and other surrounding counties.
