| Reported Cases | Negotiated code enforcement compliance agreement with Lee County which permitted the lifetime continuance of client's business use on property. County had previously issued code enforcement citations to client on numerous occasions over the course of 20+ years for the use of the property and code enforcement compliance agreement was a successful resolution for all parties involved.
Successfully negotiated with the Lee County Property Appraiser, through the Value Adjustment Board (VAB) appeal process, an approximate $1.6 million reduction in the assessed value of client's property due to the erroneous inclusion of land that should not have been accounted for in assessment and inaccurate acreage figures contained in the appraiser's records.
Presented redevelopment options under the Florida Brownfield Program to client including review of permitted uses under the current zoning and future land use map categories.
Assisted in review of copyright infringement matter which ultimately resulted in infringer removing copyrighted materials from their website.
Clerked for the Maryland Department of the Environment, participating in an environmental justice compliance project involving the City of Baltimore and its efforts to identify facilities with environmental issues and facilitate cleanup. Assisted with the drafting of a compliance workbook for the auto body and repair shops which allowed the city to work with the businesses to effect cleanup without going through an enforcement process. |
