Karen Tepichin is an associate in the firm's Business Department. Her practice focuses on advising public and private companies in the life sciences industry. Karen has experience representing pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies in various transactions, including licensing and collaboration arrangements, complex manufacturing and supply agreements, distribution agreements and clinical trial outsourcing relationships, and has contributed to the development of clients' best practices and standard form agreements in these areas. She also maintains an active practice assisting both investors and companies in venture capital financing transactions in the life sciences and technology industries.
Karen has extensive experience advising investors and public and private companies in strategic acquisitions, including assisting clients in drafting and negotiating agreements involving mergers, equity purchases, tender offers and asset acquisitions and sales. She has also assisted with the integration of post-merger ongoing strategic alliances.
Prior to law school, Karen worked as a research assistant at the Harvard School of Public Health, contributing to the publication of a series of studies on content and ratings in video games and surveying the corporate contribution policies across Fortune 1000 companies as they related to children's issues.
