Katherine A. Corey is an associate in the firm's nationally ranked Investment Management Practice Group. Her practice primarily involves counseling organizations in the investment management industry, including multi-series and multi-class mutual funds, master-feeder funds, registered alternative products and private equity funds. Kate has participated in fund formation and drafted and reviewed various securities filings for both open-end and closed-end funds, including registration and proxy statements. She has also assisted in counseling boards of directors on fund governance and fiduciary duty issues.
In General. Kate earned her J.D. in 2010, with honors, from The George Washington University Law School, to which she held a full-tuition scholarship. While in law school, Kate was the senior articles editor of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal and volunteered with the Student Hurricane Network in New Orleans, La. She received her bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, with a major in public health from The George Washington University in 2007.
