As the other founding partner of Kennedy & Dolan, for the past 20 years Kathleen has honed her legal skills in the area of defense, most usually in criminal defense. While she occasionally represents the defendant in other types of cases, she has carved an experienced niche in the area of criminal defense and protecting clients' rights prior to and after being arrested, through to sentencing and/or expungement. During the course of her twenty years in practice, Ms. Dolan has tried over 120 cases to a jury and has had many hundreds of Bench trials. In other words, she is not fearful of taking a case to either a judge or jury, if it is in her client's best interest. Ms. Dolan has defended some high profile clients in her career which has focused its client base in Montgomery County. Two of her cases were the subject of tv news magazines. For the past 13 years, Ms. Dolan has taken cases for the public defender's office as a panel attorney when co-defendants conflicted out the Public Defender. Ms. Dolan is "functionally fluent" in Spanish and has represented hundreds of spanish-speaking clients.
