She maintains a general health law practice with an emphasis on hospital law, health information technology, including HIPAA compliance and the electronic exchange of health information, physician contracting, and health care regulatory compliance, including federal Stark and Anti-Kickback and EMTALA issues. Kate regularly represents hospitals, medical practices and other health care providers in contract negotiations, business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and affiliations, as well as regulatory compliance matters.
