Katie practices in the areas of banking, financial services, corporate and bankruptcy law. She has represented banks, bank holding companies and other financial institutions in connection with regulatory filings, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures of bank branches and assets, lending transactions and general corporate matters. She has also served on teams representing clients in the biopharmaceutical, telecommunications and manufacturing industries in merger and acquisition transactions. Katie's bankruptcy experience has included the representation of creditors, debtors and purchasers of assets in business bankruptcy cases. She has extensive experience in the structuring of bankruptcy-remote special purpose entities and the issuance of nonconsolidation opinions in CMBS transactions. Feeney (1995-97) and Special Assistant Attorney General with the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office (1993-95). Additionally, she has several years of experience working in the insurance industry. Besides Edwards Wildman Katie is a member of the Boards of Directors of Milton Hospital, Inc. and its parent company, Milton Hospital Foundation, Inc. She serves on the boards' Audit Committee and Executive Committee. Katie is also an elected Milton Town Meeting Member and a former Chairman of the Milton Warrant (Finance) Committee. She was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Milton-Fuller Housing Corporation, which oversees a senior living community.
