Kathleen Maylin is a Shareholder in the San Francisco, California office of Jackson Lewis P.C.
Ms. Maylin's practice for the last 22 years has been defending public and private employers on a wide range of employment actions in state and federal court, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, breach of contract, and wage and hour actions. Kathy has first-chaired multiple jury and bench trials to verdict in state court. In addition, Kathy provides advice and counsel to clients and presents workshops on a variety of employment law matters, including alternative dispute resolution, sexual harassment, discrimination, employment practices and workplace violence. She served as the litigation manager of the firm's San Francisco office in 2006 and 2007.
Ms. Maylin also serves as a neutral mediator specializing in employment and labor disputes, and is on the mediation panel of Resolution Remedies (www.resrem.com) in San Rafael, California.
In addition to her practices, Ms. Maylin served a three-year term on the San Francisco Bar Association's Judiciary Committee, which investigates and evaluates state court judicial candidates. She additionally continues to serve as a mediator specializing in employment actions through the Early Settlement Program administered by the San Francisco Superior Court.
Ms. Maylin is a member of the California Bar (1991) and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Central, Northern and Eastern Districts of California and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
She is a graduate of University of California - Los Angeles (B.A.,cum laude, in Mass Media Communications, 1983) and University of Southern California School of Law (J.D., 1991).
