Kathleen O'Neill King joined the firm in 2003 and is a partner in the Fort Lauderdale office. She focuses her practice on matters involving personal injury, automobile negligence, medical and dental negligence, general liability and the defense of Department of Health issues. Ms. King has been honored to present Continuing Medical Education seminars on the subject of End of Life Decisions in the hospital setting as well as Decubitus Ulcers.
Previous to Wicker Smith, Ms. King spent five years in a small, local firm, handling insurance defense litigation for some of the most widely known industry leaders including Allstate Insurance, State Farm Insurance, Progressive Insurance and Liberty Mutual. She then moved in-house and served as staff counsel for a year at Progressive Insurance Company and a year at Fireman's Fund Insurance Company.
Raised in Virginia, Ms. King graduated in 1992 from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and earned a Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University in 1995. Ms. King is admitted to practice in the state of Florida as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States.
