Kathryn (Lucy) Hoff focuses her practice on litigation defense, including construction, personal injury, products liability, premises liability, and toxic tort. Since 2011, she has been actively involved in the defense of national and local clients in construction defect and asbestos personal injury lawsuits, and has consistently achieved focused and favorable resolution of cases. Lucy has represented diverse clients from suppliers and manufacturers of windows, valves, thermostats, electrical controls, and asbestos cement pipe to general construction contractors, sub-contractors, and premise owners.
Earlier in her career, she practiced corporate law in-house at Treasury Wine Estates, a premium international wine business. She has experience in entity structure, formation, and separation, as well as corporate record maintenance. She has also handled commercial contracts, including drafting and negotiating broker, distributor, supplier, production facility, marketing sponsorship and event services agreements.
In 2007, Lucy worked as a summer associate for a Napa law firm on various issues, including grape contracts, trademarks, property litigation and business transactions. During law school, Lucy interned at the Office of the General Counsel for San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District and participated in a research project analyzing class action lawsuits for the Judicial Council of California, Administrative Office of the Courts.
