Kathryn Freeman-Jones

Since graduating from law school in 1988, Ms. Freeman-Jones has utilized her nursing and legal experience to focus her practice exclusively in representing health care professionals in the areas of risk management, medical malpractice litigation, patient competency and state board inquiries. Ms. Freeman-Jones was an original founding member of Goodman Allen & Filetti. In 2000, she left the practice of law to care for her youngest son who was diagnosed with and ultimately died from leukemia. Returning in 2006, Ms. Freeman-Jones has taken on the role of Director of Marketing and Communications where she oversees the firms marketing and business development efforts. This involves client outreach and industry research, resource development, industry communications, strategic planning and associate development. Since her return, the firm has grown from 17 to 33 attorneys in key strategic practice areas and added two new offices in order to better serve our clients. Ms. Freeman-Jones continues to provide legal services to health care providers primarily in the area of hospital liability, patient competency and ethics.
