When healthcare clients are buying and selling facilities, Katie Agnew helps them navigate the ownership and regulatory issues unique to those assets. Katie's focus is in mergers and acquisitions, and in general corporate law and securities law-representing both public and private companies, including hospital operators, surgery center companies, and life sciences companies. Her securities law experience includes private and public securities offerings from shelf registration statements, as well as periodic reporting required by the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
Clients benefit from Katie's dedication and attention to detail. Being a part of deals and resolving challenges for clients, along with enabling those clients to close their transactions, is what excites Katie about the legal profession.
Prior to law school, Katie worked as an analyst for a boutique investment banking firm. The experience she gained serving "on the other side of the transaction" helps her better understand deals from a client's point of view and thus bring a valuable perspective to her legal work.
