Katrina's primary area of practice is administrative law, with an emphasis on professional regulation, policing, privacy and labour.
Katrina is the head of the firm's professional regulatory group. She routinely provides advice to professional regulatory organizations on issues such as registration, continuing competence, unauthorized practice, privacy and discipline. She appears regularly before numerous tribunals to present cases concerning allegations of unprofessional conduct, and has acted in related judicial review and appeal proceedings. Katrina also acts as independent counsel to several tribunals. She also acts as counsel in various police related matters, including third party records applications, and police disciplinary matters.
In addition, Katrina is a member of the firm's labour and employment group. She has appeared on behalf of clients in labour arbitration hearings and other administrative law hearings regarding various employment issues arising in the unionized setting.
