Katy is an associate in the Environmental Section, practicing in the Boston office. She is also a member of the Firm's Energy and Clean Technology Practice Group.
Katy's practice includes representing clients in environmental litigation in state and federal court; advising clients on regulatory compliance with state and federal environmental laws and regulations; and advising potential purchasers and lessees on environmental issues in real estate transactions.
She has also provided pro bono representation to a variety of clients. For example, Katy has been the lead attorney in a housing discrimination matter before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. In addition, Katy has provided legal advice to low-income entrepreneurs through the Economic Justice Project and to victims of domestic violence through the Domestic Violence Program, and she advised a non-profit organization regarding changes to their governing documents.
Before joining Mintz Levin, Katy was a 2007 Rappaport Fellow for the City of Boston Environment Department. She also worked as a Legal Assistant to the Environmental Practice Group at another prominent law firm.
Katy is admitted to practice in Massachusetts. She received her B.A., with honors, in Political Science from Trinity College (2004) and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston University School of Law (2009). She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
