Keith E. White is a partner in the Indianapolis, Indiana office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, where he is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment Law Department. He has more than 25 years of national experience in labor and employment law, including two and a half years serving as vice president and general counsel for a major automotive supplier based in Detroit.
Mr. White's practice covers virtually all areas of labor and employment law. He has significant experience representing employers across the country in collective bargaining, strikes, contract administration and arbitration. He regularly assists business clients in union avoidance matters, from supervisor and manager training programs to full-scale campaigns to help employers maintain their non-union status. Mr. White represents employers in federal and state court litigation, drafting and enforcing employment contracts and non-competition agreements. In addition, he provides day-to-day client counseling, including large and small reductions in force, plant/facility closing issues, and general labor and employment law compliance.
Mr. White received his J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington in 1983. He earned his B.A. magna cum laude from Hanover College in 1980.
Mr. White is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and its Committee on ADR in Labor and Employment Law. He is a frequent speaker for these organizations, and serves on the faculty of programs sponsored by the ABA's Committee on ADR in Labor Employment Law, and the National Labor Relations Board.
Mr. White is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana, before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
