Biography

Kelly Dobbs Bunting handles class and collective actions involving claims under federal and state law for wage and hour violations, misclassification, overtime, minimum wage issues, and off-the-clock work. She also defends both state and federal court employment claims involving pregnancy, age, disability and race discrimination, reverse discrimination, non-compete and non-solicitation clauses, and sexual and racial harassment. Kelly has defended employers in law suits brought under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, NJLAD, CEPA and the Pregnancy Discrimination Act. Kelly has defended claims on behalf of national and local employers before agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board, the EEOC, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce, and the Delaware Department of Labor. She has also represented employers in numerous U.S. Department of Labor audits and investigations around the country, in addition to handling federal and state mediations, many with potential liability in the millions of dollars. Prior to focusing in labor and employment work, Kelly spent five years as a general commercial litigator, handling everything from copyright and trademark violations to breach of contract and civil rights claims. She has drafted employment contracts and independent contractor agreements for employees who work both in the U.S. and in foreign countries. Kelly is a Certified Trainer with the firm's Training Workshop, and has trained both management and rank and file employees in avoiding harassment and discrimination lawsuits.
