Kelly concentrates her practice in the areas of medical malpractice, construction, premises liability, products liability, nursing care, and labor and employment litigation. Prior to joining LCK, Kelly was a member of a nationally recognized Chicago litigation firm where she defended clients in tort litigation involving a wide range of subjects. Kelly has assisted clients in resolving disputes in mediation, arbitration, and pre-trial settlement conferences. In her practice, Kelly has represented:
-Hospital networks, physicians, and physician groups in medical malpractice, wrongful death, negligence, and premises liability suits;
-Corporate owners and property management companies in negligence and premises liability suits;
-Construction companies in wrongful death and negligence suits;
-National insurance companies in numerous litigation matters;
-Parking management companies in bailment, negligence, and premises liability cases; and
-Product manufacturers in negligence and strict liability actions.
In 2007, Kelly earned her J.D. from The John Marshall School of Law. During law school, Kelly clerked for one of Chicago’s premier personal injury firms where she gained hands-on experience in the litigation process.
Kelly has served as a staff attorney for the City of Chicago’s Committee on Finance, where she worked under the tutelage of the Committee Chairman, Ed Burke. Kelly participated in drafting legislation that the Committee proposed to the City Counsel of Chicago, performed complex legal research, and represented the City of Chicago in contract negotiations.
Kelly was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. She graduated from Elmhurst College in 2003, receiving a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Urban Planning. During her time at Elmhurst College, Kelly was a four-year letterman for the Elmhurst College Women’s Soccer team. She also served two years as President of the NCAA Student Athletic Advisory Committee.
Kelly is licensed to practice in the states of Indiana and Illinois, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois Bar Association
