Kendra Goodman

Kendra M. Goodman practices primarily in the bankruptcy group of the firm, representing both debtors and creditors. She has represented both corporate and consumer debtors in bankruptcy filings and related transactions. Ms. Goodman's diverse set of corporate clients have included an advertising and public relations company, a retail jewelry store, an electrical subcontracting concrete manufacturer and supplier. Because of her extensive experience representing consumer debtors, Ms. Goodman recently participated in a study which investigated the effects of the 2005 changes in bankruptcy law on individual debtors, conducted by the Congressional Research Service in Washington, D.C. Ms. Goodman is a 2000 graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Certificate in Environmental Studies, and a Minor in African Studies. She earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, where she was a Dean's Scholarship Recipient. Ms. Goodman is admitted to practice in the State of Louisiana, and the State of New York as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the New York State Bar Association, the New York County Lawyer's Association, and the Louisiana State Bar Association.
