Ken is based in the firm's Boston office, where he practices in the Litigation Section. He is co-founder of the firm's Global Construction Materials practice and his practice focuses on representing government contractors and suppliers on issues including government investigations, compliance, internal investigations, and litigation. He advises clients across the U.S. in the areas of concrete and aggregate specifications, and on avoiding and defending against allegations of materials non-compliance. Ken's clients include the largest concrete supplier to the multi-billion dollar "Big Dig" Central Artery/Tunnel Project in Boston, and a major aggregates supplier to a high-profile Amtrak project. He is a member of the American Concrete Institute, the National Ready-Mixed Concrete Association, and the American Society of Concrete Contractors.
Ken's practice includes complex commercial litigation in the areas of real estate development, breach of contract, and shareholder disputes. He has also represented and advised clients in administrative proceedings and regulatory matters concerning insurance disputes, and serves as counsel to the M. Patricia Cronin Foundation to Fight Ovarian Cancer.
Ken served as a Special Assistant District Attorney as part of a firm-sponsored program with the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office, prosecuting an array of criminal matters at trial.
He recently co-authored a client advisory titled "Avoiding Charges of Perjury and False Statements," and spoke at a convention of the American Concrete Institute on the topic of "The Big Dig: Lessons Learned."
Ken received his B.S., summa cum laude, from Johnson and Wales University (1993), M.B.A. from Babson Graduate School (1994), and J.D., magna cum laude, from New England School of Law (2002), where he served as a Case and Note Editor on the New England Law Review.
