Kenneth H. Inskeep is a partner in the Indianapolis, Indiana office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, concentrating his practice in litigation. During more than 25 years with the firm, he has assisted clients in cost effectively resolving a variety of complex and difficult liability situations. He has defended complex product liability and other personal injury cases, commercial disputes, environmental litigation and legal ethics/professional liability matters. Admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Indiana, Mr. Inskeep frequently coordinates and defends litigation on a nationwide basis. His practice focuses primarily on resolving cases in trial courts and through mediation, but has also included involvement in multiple appeals in the state and federal courts. Mr. Inskeep has successfully resolved many matters involving complex legal, tactical and technical issues, and extensive use of expert witnesses. These have included cases involving medical devices, automotive design, toxic substances, high-tech industrial coatings, environmental issues, and fires and explosions, as well as commercial disputes. Based on this experience, he also counsels clients on avoiding litigation and employing loss management techniques such as contract terms, warnings, product recalls and other methods. When problems arise, he helps clients deal with public relations issues, regulatory issues and securing the benefits of applicable insurance coverage and other rights against third parties. Mr. Inskeep has also been Barnes & Thornburg's General Counsel since 1995, and was chairman of the firm's Professional Responsibility Committee from 1993 to 2001, and thus has extensive knowledge of lawyer professional responsibility and professional liability issues. Besides being recognized as an Indiana "Super Lawyer," he is listed in the 2003-2011 editions of The Best Lawyers in America® in the field of commercial litigation. Mr. Inskeep graduated magna cum laude from Franklin College in Franklin, Ind., and received his J.D. summa cum laude in 1982 from Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington.
