Gorenberg is a partner in the Chicago office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, where he is a member of the firm's Litigation Department and its Policyholder Insurance Recovery and Counseling Practice Group. Mr. Gorenberg's insurance practice focuses on a number of complex issues for corporate policyholders. Mr. Gorenberg has also represented insurance companies and executives in complex litigation regarding the business of insurance.
In addition, Mr. Gorenberg defends manufacturers, design engineers and premises owners in "bet the company" asbestos personal injury litigation in the state of Illinois and throughout the country. Whether coordinating cases in multiple jurisdictions as national counsel for some clients or serving as local counsel for others, Mr. Gorenberg recognizes that asbestos litigation is a serious business problem calling for a thoughtful approach. Each client is unique, and so are its products and cases.
Along with his experience in insurance and asbestos, Mr. Gorenberg has a track record of assisting clients in litigation, arbitration, and negotiation of a wide variety of business disputes. His commercial clients have included financial institutions, hoteliers, real estate developers, publishers, and web-based ticket brokers.
